Overview:

As a IT Field Consultant, you will provide full network support for multiple small to mid sized companies.

Normal activities for the clients include:

� Regular monitoring and maintenance of the servers, clients and infrastructure equipment

� Network assessments and recommendations

� Anti-virus solutions

� Performance analysis

� Pro-active server/desktop maintenance and support

� Full documentation of their network.

Requirements:

� Active Directory planning and troubleshooting

� Exchange implementation and troubleshooting

� Firewall configuration experience

Technical Skills Desired:

� Windows 2000 & 2003 Server and Workstations, Small Business Server, Windows XP, Vista

� Exchange 2000, 2003 & 2007

� Strong working knowledge of LAN/WAN technology including: TCP/IP (routers, configuration and setup)

� Security (firewalls � Cisco, Sonic Wall, Watchguard), Virus Protection Software (e-mail, server and client)

� Network Management (switches, hubs)

� Small Business Server (SBS) a plus

Education & Experience:

� 5 years of network engineering industry experience or related IT technical experience

� 2 years of consulting experience in a technology environment a plus

� Network Operating Systems (NOS) including Windows 2003 Server and Workstation

� LAN/WAN technology including: TCP/IP (routers, configuration and setup), Security (firewalls � Cisco, Sonicwall, Watchguard), Virus Protection Software (email, server and client), Network management (switches, hubs)

MCSE and/or MCSA certifications preferred.

Location: Houston
Compensation: Up to $60k per year based on experience.
