Our services include contract and contract to hire opportunities in addition to permanent placement.






Title: Level 2 Service Technician (Copiers and Printers)


Contract Duration: 18 Month Contract


Location: Houston, TX


Shift: Monday – Friday 9:00am-6:00pm


Rate: $20.00




DESCRIPTION OF POSITION




This is for a Level 2 Docucare position


MUST have break fix experience (preferably on copiers and or printers)


Will have to be able to replace parts on the copiers/printers/fax machines


Will need to know how to run a light print machine when needed




Duties:


Provide Docucare support for mid/high volume multi function devices and engineering machines at assigned locations.


Performs full range of maintenance on assigned products; including hardware support, technical diagnostics, software loads, IMAC and disposal, retrofit and customer call resolution assistance.


Manage call activity; perform associated administrative requirements


Incorporate work management processes to maximize productivity and achieve business results (PEP metrics)


Take responsibility for customer satisfaction through proper use of customer management skills.


Adhere to proper escalation procedures to resolve customer issues.


Responsible for assigned company assets (i.e. parts, tools, communication and computing devices, vehicles)


Provide customer training on assigned products in accordance with current procedures.


Quickly identify problems using new quality and root-cause data analysis. Develop a solution that resolves the problem and delivers optimum value


Use and share technical best practices to maximize customer value, productivity, and expense objectives.


Proactively plan activity and service coverage to maximize productivity.


Minimize overtime with effective scheduling. Supports service coverage plan developed with team (shift / work week.)


Act as an expert when advising customers on complex / technical jobs and discussing their production requirements / turnaround times


Ensure all Docucare information presented to the customer is timely, accurate and presentable




Required skills:


Strong advanced knowledge of all related business and technology processes


Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to act as facilitator / coach / mentor


Good Problem solving & critical thinking skills


Ability to work with minimum supervision,


Ability to travel as required


Technology proficiency in areas required by the on-site assignment


Thoroughly proficient with Helpdesk tools, Microsoft operating systems, MS Office applications and anti-virus software


Experience in low / mid volume, color, and engineering products




This position could involve any and/or all of the following:




Print Production


This consists of making copies on high production and network printers. A person handling print production duties would need to know how to operate a printer with a computerized front end. They would need basic computer skills that would allow them to take an electronic job and see to it that it prints properly.




Color Print Production


The same thing as above with the added caveat of color. This person would have to recognize the different levels of color. They may need to know how to manipulate a graphic image in order to get it to print the correct color. This person might need to have a graphic design background.




Finishing Work


When a referring to finishing work, we are speaking about a person in a print production environment that handles the final stages of the print job. This person may be adding the spiral binding to a booklet or inserting different leaflets into a booklet. They could also be putting a plastic wrapping on a set of books or gluing a binding together.






Docucare


This position provides service to companies utilizing our Clients products. This person would be responsible for going around to printers and copiers within a given area and servicing those products. The job would entail loading paper, clearing jams, changing toner, providing preventive maintenance, doing light repairs and other like duties. A person working as a Docucare representative will be required to have some entry level/light technical skills.


Will also be responsible for escalating issues to Technicians as required.




First Responder


A first responder is a Docucare person that quickly responds to machines that go down. They try to troubleshoot the machine without actually taking it apart. If unable to fix the problem they place a service call for a Technician.




Must be willing to undergo Background Check and Drug Screen
