Houston, USA: PT ACTIVITY COORDINATOR NEEDED FOR NON PROFIT ORG IN SOUTHWEST HOUSTON

Are you looking for something part time that is rewarding and flexible? If so, this is the position for you! We are seeking Activity Coordinators for a community center located in an apartment complex. This is a permanent part time position, $15/$18/hr, and hours vary from site to site. This particular site is 78 hrs/month located in Missouri City. The hours I am needing will typically be afternoon hours. This person can expect to work with school age children, teens, adults and seniors in a variety of arenas. Although the majority of our focus is on the children of each property we serve, it is also our mission to adhere to any other needs that may arise as well.

Coordinators typically offer homework/tutoring assistance, computer classes, arts and crafts, recreation and then we also contact outside agencies to come in as guest speakers to address hot topics such as credit counseling, domestic violence, homebuyers programs, boy scouts, girl scouts, crime prevention, etc. While the one-on-one services are primarily offered, the Coordinator will be required to refer residents to other agencies for further assistance when necessary.
