We are looking for bright, self-motivated, outgoing individuals in Houston, TX to work as Field Interviewers on the General Social Survey 2008 (GSS 2008). GSS is NORC's longest running survey. Through GSS, trends and constants in attitudes and behaviors in American society are monitored and explained. Except for data from the Census, the GSS is the most widely analyzed source of information in the social sciences, and is used by policy makers, scientific researchers, government officials, and students.

What is a field interviewer?
Field Interviewers talk to people from every conceivable walk of life, either by telephone or in person, to obtain information on issues that will affect social policy
They administer carefully developed, field-tested questionnaires to respondents, either printed or on laptop computers.
