ELECTRICAL ENGINEER




This position will support the daily production activities at our high-speed aluminum can operation. The position will interact closely with all aspects of the manufacturing process from the raw material to the finished product. This is a hands-on position that may be required to cover a variety of duties and responsibilities in this continuous operation.




This is a managerial position, which would include the daily supervision of plant electricians and electronic technicians as well as the management of plant construction, modifications, appropriations and equipment installation. This is an excellent opportunity to develop not only your technical abilities but also your managerial skills.




The requirements for this position are as follows:




BS degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience plus Associates Degree





3-5 years experience in a production or manufacturing setting, ideally in a high-speed operation





State of Texas Certification (Qualification)





2+ years of managerial experience


Excellent computer skills





Working knowledge of motor controls, VFD's, DC drives, Eddy Current Systems and/or Modicon system design





PLC's (Allen-Bradley); installation, set-up and programming





An ability to design, modify and plot using AutoCAD software





Process control systems function, set-up, programming and functional applications (Honeywell)





Instrumentation and calibration





Knowledge of building facilities (compressed air, water, hydraulics, vacuums, heating and cooling)





Facilities power distribution to include voltage to 4160v, three-phase





Hands on experience in designing, modifying, installing, commissioning and documentation of industrial conveyance control systems and sub-systems.





Proven working knowledge of industrial electronics as well as Six Sigma and Lean principles





A Green or Black Belt certification in Six Sigma is a definite plus
