Houston, USA: Financial Analyst / Project Accounting Role

Our client, a multi-national oil & gas company, is looking to add a Financial Analyst to their team due to growth. This company provides a great work life balance and excellent benefits!!!!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Month end close

Monitor department P&L; prepare and distribute inter-company charges in compliance with business & tax agreements, identify trends and recommend operating improvements accordingly.

Prepare and propose Journal Entries as required.

Support timely and accurate financial reporting to Corporate Accounting.

Compile and publish monthly management reports.

Project accounting:

Prepare journal entries to support project based accounting

Draft comments about budget fluctuations and project performance

Support the continual development and improvement of project reporting

Maintain business plans by project

Support the annual budgeting process

AFE tracking against the Capex budget

Assist the Business Managers with financial analysis and decision.

Consolidate divisional reports and create monthly reporting packages for Corporate Accounting and Senior Management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Accountancy or other adequate business degree with three (2) to five (5) years experience in related job.

Comfortable performing projects in conjunction with normal activities.

Experience with project accounting strongly preferred, but not required.

PC Literate with Microsoft Office applications

Strong verbal and written communication skills
